How We Are Different

Unlike a Nursing Home, Shepherd's Village provide care to persons who can no longer take care of themselves and need assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, going to the bathroom, making meals, handling their affairs, and housekeeping.

Most of our Resident's are elderly and have a number of medical issues. ALF staffs are licensed in patient care but are not medical practitioners. As such, ALFs have much lower costs than do Nursing Homes. Among area ALFs, Shepherd’s Village is among the most affordable.

We provide Person-Centered Care, where we are dedicated to giving individual attention to the needs, interests, and preferences of each of our Residents.
We are a Small Community that interacts with one another like a close family in a home like environment.
We are Faith-Based. We seek not only to preserve and enhance each Resident’s quality of care as well as quality of life, we also attend to their spiritual life without any denominational bias.
We practice Continual Improvement. We seek, listen and respond to input from Residents, Staff, and Families as to our performance and how we can improve.
